How to Start
- Just follow the main quests to learn the game and unlock more stuffs.
- To pick your weapon,
- try out all weapons in Training Ground / Hunt (Emberthorn Cove Lv 1-2)
- there are some quests that requires you to equip Striker/Repeater weapon.
- level up your chosen weapon until Lv20
- Harvest the ingredients (flower & ore) during Hunt.
- Don't worry about grinding early level behemoth for loots, focus on leveling.
- Follow the Slayer's Path
- Sword - common favorite for the community (versatile = pick this if you don't care)
- Axe - slow but powerful stun (actually, a hammer)
- Hammer - slow explosive weapon (actually, a cannon)
- Chain Blades - mobile and fast (dodge is important)
- War Pike - simple moves but hard to master (wound = bonus buff)
- Repeaters - good for beginner (long range) and late game (high damage) but not for intermediate (not useful when your build is incomplete)
- Striker - fast and hit hard (similar to sword but lower range and slightly more combo management)
Leveling Up
- To gain EXP, you need at least 1 hit before the behemoth is killed.
- Levels will affect your Power & Resistance stats, which is a main factor for combat.
- Fast when having a high-level friend flash farm with you (high level player won't gain any EXP though)
- Craft at least 1 complete set of armour: Head, Torso, Arm, Leg (use whatever you had)
- Potion: focus on Flask (don't worry about Tonic / Pylon / Grenade)
- Change your default Lantern ASAP (recommend: Skarn's Defiance, Drask's Eye, Pangar's Shine)
- Unlock/Craft Omnicell (recommend: Tempest, Iceborne)
- If you like the weapon, consider spending the Combat Merits on the weapon node in Slayer's Path.
- When you reached Reforged, don't reforge first, save up Rams & Combat Merits for [Slayer Path - XII Reforged - Banked XP],
- most end game loots are only feasible on Lv20
- alternatively, keep your Lv20 weapon, choose another backup weapon to grind
- before banked XP maxed out, plan your reforge to farm early game behemoth while grinding EXP
- reforge up to 3 times (each weapon), then aim for Heroic Escalation
More Tips:
- Most info is available from the Journal in game.
- More players = faster farm (maximum party: 4 players, supports cross-play)
- Equipment's Perk is more important than elemental for builds/loadouts.
- For early game farming, plan according to elemental pair (Ice vs Flame, Terra vs Lightning, Radiant vs Umbral)

- Hunt Pass will give player Platinum (free 200, elite 750, total 950)
- Elite Hunt Pass cost 750 Platinum
